A Fitting End?

Winterberg, Germany - The 2006/2007 Silly season came to an end for the Europa Cup team today in Winterberg, Germany, the only location on the planet that has yet to experience the joys of sunlight. It's been 3000 years since the last clear day in the 'Berg, and just as long since the the last fair race.

All the construction, track modification, and weather-proofing in the world couldn't stop the reigning America's Cup Champion Andy Wood from winning the Gold Medal in the men's competition, followed by his teammate and Welsh superstar Chris Type. In third was Yuki Sasahara of Japan.

On the women's side, Kathleen Lorenz of Germany claimed victory over 2nd place finisher Sarah Reid. Marion Trott took bronze.

The 2006/2007 season continues this evening at the EC after party, the only good reason for spending $2000 on a one heat race, while the Juniors will continue to Altenberg for their untimely deaths.

There may be some untimely deaths considering the fed is sending no adults for the paid training week and we all know how the altenberg meat wagons work, good luck seeing your mother again if you get taken away in one of those!

Caleb - since you've been to Altenberg and did well, maybe you can help out the juniors so they can avoid the terribly unpleasant experience of seeing your meat - I mean Altenberg's - meat wagon.
